Internship for First Nations Students

A pathway to success

Our Internship for First Nations students are an opportunity to gain industry work experience whilst you’re still studying. This is your chance to take part in the important work we do and discover how we solve problems with our collaborative approach. You’ll work on client engagements, attend networking events to build business relationships and take part in projects that are making an impact and building trust in society

Joining the Firm as part of a cohort, our internships allow you to enhance your skills complementing your studies and be on a pathway to potentially join our Graduate Program.
No matter what degree you are studying or what year you are in, our Internships offer you valuable career experience at the heart of our business. 

The program runs over three to eight weeks (length will vary across our offices) and includes full time work experience during the university break where you will: 

  • Develop your skills through one-on-one coaching and mentoring
  • Undertake challenging client work and engagements with potentially broad social impacts
  • Attend networking events
  • Expand your professional and personal networks with like-minded peers
  • Expand your career potential with a globally respected organisation


PwC and PwC’s Indigenous Consulting (PIC) have a joint commitment to improving outcomes for First Nations people and communities through employment and building careers.

What do we look for in an intern?

Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems, and you will be able to contribute to that purpose during your time here. Whether you’re studying science, technology, engineering, maths, law, finance or the arts - there’s a place for you. We come from all types of degree backgrounds and life experiences, and bring our unique views to our teams.

  • MobConnect - A safe space for First Nations Employees to come together virtually and in person to connect, yarn and support each other
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • RAP Working Groups - Office based groups on individuals committed to supporting PwC/PICs RAP
  • Buddy Support Program 
  • I-Care - EAP Support - A team of specialist First Nations clinicians who deliver counselling to First Nations employees

The work you do

Our core purpose is to solve important problems. We tackle this by serving our clients, our people and Australia by providing solutions to exciting and complex challenges. 

You can help us to solve these problems by learning and engaging with us. You may work on contracts in market transactions, litigation matters or mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. Or you could work within a team helping guide the future of end-to-end employment services.
 
Whatever role you take, your team will help you succeed in your career. 
Interns will also have access to various social groups and events at PwC and get-togethers with your team and the broader teams.
